Managing Shared Spaces This document explains how eAccess Administrators can set up and manage shared spaces on the eAccess server.

Connecting to eAccess

Mac OSX in District  

Mac OSX at Home
Choose the option below that works best for you.
The Home and Shared icons are included on the desktop and in the Applications folder of imaged District computers. If needed, users may connect to eAccess without using the shortcuts by following the "home access" directions to the right.

Web Folders:

  1. From your desktop, go to the Go menu.
  2. Select Connect to Server (shortcut is apple-k).
  3. Copy the Homes or Shared URL listed below and paste it into the Server Address line:
    https://eaccess.beaverton.k12.or.us/eaccess/homes
    https://eaccess.beaverton.k12.or.us/eaccess/shared
  4. While on the connect to server screen, hit the "+" to bookmark the URL.
  5. Click Connect.
  6. Enter your login.
  7. Subsequent logins: Go menu > Connect to Server > select appropriate bookmark from Favorite Servers > Connect > enter Login.
AFP alternative:
  1. From your desktop, go to the Go menu.
  2. Select Connect to Server (shortcut is apple-k).
  3. Copy the URL listed below and paste it into the Server Address line:
    afp://eaccess.beaverton.k12.or.us
  4. While on the connect to server screen, hit the "+" to bookmark the URL.
  5. Click Connect.
  6. Enter your login.
  7. Select Home or Shared.
  8. Subsequent logins: Go menu > Connect to Server > select bookmark from Favorite Servers > Connect > enter Login > select Home or Shared.
PC in District

PC at Home
Choose the option below that works best for you.
PC Home and Shared Folder Icons (in District) This zipped file contains the eAccess Home and Shared desktop icons to download for use on a PC inside the District. Save the file to your desktop. Unzip the file and drag the icons from inside the folder to your desktop.  

Windows Web Folders

Open the document to the left for directions on using Web Folders for Windows XP and older.

      Windows Vista Open the document to the left for directions on connecting to eAccess on the Microsoft Vista platfrom.

 

    

 

     Home Access Using Windows (FTP) FTP is an alternative to use if Windows Web Folders does not work on your PC. Open the document to the left for directions.
     

WS_FTP

 Download the PC application to the left to use Windows FTP. It is NOT required for using Web Folders.
